The planning permit was approved on 16th of August 2013 and settlement took place
on 4th of September 2013.
The VMAA executive approved some funding on 10th of October and Road work
started on 16th of October 2013.

Some working bees.
There have been a few working bees lately.
Fences removed at ends of runway and replaced with electric fences to allow extra useable length for large or fast models with accurate-aiming pilots.
Taxi-way work and pilot-box upgrades.
These will be foundations for shelter over pit area.
Taxi-way beautification and the oblong puddles will be concrete starting pads.

VMAA State Field Eastern Official Opening. Sunday 8th March 2015.
Aeromodeller Competition Three In One(n) Scale Rally two day event paused half way through day two for the official opening ceremony.
BADMAC President Graeme Martin started proceedings, then handed over to MAAA President Neil Tank, (inset top) then to Mayor of East Gippsland Shire, Councillor Peter Neal (inset bottom)then to VMAA President Carl Bizon who performed the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the day.
Chris James presented to the club a specially made bench seat in remembrance of his father Barry James, our late long serving club member, who helped design the ACTIO(n) Scale Rally event.
The back-rest engraved with a propeller, the hub being a cast plaque for Barry.

Whilst preparing the official first flight by Barry James' son Tim, BADMAC Vice President Bruce Strong presented Graeme Martin and Brian Hutchinson with Life Memberships for great service rendered in preparation of our excellent facilities at State Field Eastern.
Brian and Graeme are a bit stunned.
Tim James flew Barrys old Tiger Moth, to much applause, opening the field.
